Hyperliquid Buybacks Remove 11,768 HYPE From Circulating Supply
Hyperliquid, a decentralized trading platform, has executed another round of buybacks for its native HYPE token, removing 11,768 tokens from circulation. The initiative is part of a broader deflationary strategy, where a percentage of platform revenue is allocated to repurchasing tokens.
The latest on-chain data reveals HyperCore bought back 38,591 HYPE at approximately $30.37, while 26,823 HYPE were distributed to stakers and validators. This net reduction of 11,768 tokens daily could translate to ~350,000 HYPE removed monthly if sustained.
The buyback mechanism, funded by trading fees, aims to create scarcity and enhance token value. Vikingo.hl reports the program operates through Hyperliquid's Assistance Fund, which collects protocol revenue before executing market repurchases.
